About this Member

iBET - Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica ("iBET") is a private non-profit association, founded in 1989, based in Oeiras, with public utility status and whose main activity is to develop scientific research projects, on its own initiative or in cooperation with other public or private entities, namely within the scope of programmes funded by national and international institutions. iBET's mission is to carry out R&D and put it at the service of companies, the economy and the clinic. This is what sets it apart, and it is internationally recognised for its commitment and dedication. iBET thus has an international reputation that allows it to differentiate itself in this area of biotechnology. Of particular note in terms of this Agenda is its Food & Health division, where it carries out research to support the agri-food industry, with vast experience and expertise in the field of food and environmental engineering, for example in projects aimed at creating value from agri-food industry waste, or with the aim of creating more environmentally friendly methodologies for extracting these natural compounds and treating wastewater. iBET will be a key scientific partner, with a deep and close relationship both with industrial partners and with promoters and end-users, providing value in the development of new formulations for crop protection and nutrition based, in particular, on the circadian economy.
