About this Member

UNAC - UNIÃO DA FLORESTA MEDITERRÂNICA ("UNAC") is a private, non-profit organisation set up in 1989 and based in Lisbon. It is currently an association representing the interests of agroforestry areas in the Mediterranean region. Its important role and experience in research, innovation and knowledge transfer on specific issues of relevance to forestry associations and producers is noteworthy. It is worth highlighting its participation in several Operational Groups of relevance to the Agenda, namely: NUTRISUBER - Nutrition and fertilisation of cork oak forests, FERTIPINEA - Nutrition and fertilisation of stone pine in rainfed and irrigated areas, + PINHÃO - Integrated management of biotic agents associated with loss of production of pine nuts and PLATISOR - Methods for the management of cork oak forests with sycamore attacks in the Sor region. UNAC can therefore be expected to make an important contribution to improving the nutrition of agroforestry systems through its participation in this Consortium, promoting a close relationship with the needs of the sector and experimentation and demonstration on its members' pilot plots.
