UNINOVA - Instituto De Desenvolvimento De Novas Tecnologias

UNINOVA - Institute for the Development of New Technologies ("UNINOVA") is an independent, non-profit multidisciplinary research institute belonging to the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova. UNINOVA contains several centres of excellence with a wide range of skills, including the RICS - Robotics and Complex Industrial Systems research group. This centre has extensive experience in the R&D of autonomous robots, reconfigurable manufacturing systems, intelligent control solutions, artificial intelligence-based approaches, self-organised manufacturing systems, complex industrial systems, industrial integration, and standards-based activities. In addition, its multidisciplinary team has extensive experience in analysing big data using artificial intelligence, to develop models, data fusion and integration for decision support systems, thus playing an important role in the Consortium's technological component.
