RochaCenter - Centro de Pós-Colheita e Tecnologia, A.C.E. ("RochaCenter") is a complementary grouping of companies set up in 2017 at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia ("ISA"). Based in Óbidos, it stands out as the research centre for the Rocha pear, aiming to improve post-harvest and technologies that enhance the value of the fruit throughout the food chain. With a highly qualified team and dedicated laboratory, pilot and field facilities, the Rocha Centre will contribute in this Consortium to the development of antioxidants with potential in fruit preservation, reducing food waste, with a significant demonstration and dissemination effect through its groupings, which represent around 80% of national Rocha pear production.
